Isaly's & Klondike signings - II

Many former employees brought their pictures and collectibles to the reunion in Pittsburgh....

Arlene Walker Momchilovich was extremely generous in loaning numerous photos for copying. Her dad and brother, both named William Walker, worked for the company, as did her husband Sam. At left is a program from Isaly's Hospitality Night in Pittsburgh, which many simply called Radio Basket Night - when a store was chosen during the big band show, anyone shopping there received a free basket of food. The schedule at right is actually one long sheet but put side-by-side here to fit.

LaVaughn Hurd Williams brought a set of pictures taken behind her store in 1945, including the one above left of Delores and Joe, and at right herself as a bus girl, the only role at Isaly's then for an African American woman.
