S.S. Grand View ~ The Ship Hotel
No attraction along the Lincoln Highway caught the attention and imagination of motorists like the Ship Hotel. It served travelers from 1932 til the late 1980s. Since then, fans kept hoping it would reopen ... while fearing it might first slide down the mountain.
 
Our hopes and dreams were dashed early on October 26, 2001, when the Ship burned down. Below are some postcards to remember it by. And in 2010 I have a book coming out about the Ship.
